My sketchbook
For my daily pattern sketches, I use the Art Creation Sketchbook by Talens — a compact sketchbook that has become an essential part of my creative routine.
The small size (9×14 cm / 3.5×5.5”) makes it manageable to fill a spread every day and the paper is thick enough to handle wet media without warping too much.
My markers
I use Shuttle Art acrylic markers a lot in my sketchbooks. They’re a very affordable option if you want a wide range of colours to work with.
I especially like the soft brush tips and the huge colour selection — they make it easy to experiment with different palettes without needing dozens of individual pens.
When I want really good coverage and consistent paint quality, Posca paint markers are still one of my go-to choices.
I use different nib sizes depending on what I’m drawing. The PC-3M is my everyday favourite for sketchbook work, while I use broader nibs when I want to fill larger areas.

How I Film My Sketchbook Videos
I often get questions about how I film my sketchbook videos, so here are a few of the simple tools I use for filming and photographing my work.
Overhead Phone Mount + Ring Light
Perfect for filming and photographing my sketchbook from above, especially when I need some extra light at my desk. My exact model is no longer available, so I’ve linked to a similar option.
Photo Backdrop Boards
Such a simple way to create a clean and beautiful background for photos and videos. I use backdrop boards when I want a quick styled setup without having to rearrange my whole workspace.
Magnetic Tripod
This is the tripod I use when I want a flexible setup that’s easy to move around. It folds down really small and can also be used as a regular tripod or selfie stick.
Wireless Microphone
This is the little wireless microphone I use for voiceovers. It’s affordable, really easy to use and gives me more than enough sound quality for the short videos I create.
Magnetic Neck Mount
I use this when I want to film what I’m doing with my hands but don’t have room to set up a tripod. It gives a natural point-of-view angle and is surprisingly handy for creative projects.
